Description
BinTac Zeus Tactical 24″ .58: Range & Velocity
While the compact Zeus models are built for brush work, the BinTac Zeus Tactical 24″ .58 is built for ballistics. In the world of high-pressure air (HPA), barrel length equals speed. By extending the barrel to 24 inches, this rifle harnesses the massive volume of air from the Zeus valve more efficiently, accelerating the slug for a longer duration before it leaves the muzzle.
Why Choose the 24″ over the 16″?
If your hunting environment involves open fields, power lines, or shooting across valleys, you need trajectory. The 24″ barrel provides:
- Higher Velocity: Gaining substantial FPS over shorter models means your slug gets to the target faster with less drop.
- Increased Energy: More speed equals more kinetic energy (FPE) delivered on impact.
- Stability: The longer barrel and added weight at the front help stabilize the rifle for precision shots from a bipod or rest.
The .58 Advantage
The .58 caliber is widely regarded as the perfect compromise in the big bore world. It hits significantly harder than a .45 or .50, but offers much better penetration and aerodynamics than the massive .72. When paired with the 24-inch barrel, the .58 slug becomes a devastating projectile capable of taking down deer, elk, and hogs with authority at distances other airguns can’t touch.
Tactical Ergonomics
Despite its length, the Zeus Tactical remains manageable thanks to its well-balanced chassis. It features a robust side-lever system, a 4500 PSI rear reservoir, and a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting high-magnification scopes and thermal optics.
BinTac Tech Note:
Ammo Selection: The 24″ barrel loves heavy slugs. Experiment with different weights to find the perfect harmonic balance for your specific rifle.
Support: Due to the forward weight and power, we recommend using a sturdy bipod (rail-mounted) for best accuracy. Ensure your backstop is sufficient; this rifle penetrates like a firearm.
