Description
BinTac PA30 Pump Action .30 Cal – 16 Joule Edition
The BinTac PA30 is typically known for raw power, but the 16 Joule Edition offers a completely different kind of shooting satisfaction. By tuning this .30 caliber beast down to comply with 16 Joule (approx. 12 ft/lbs) regulations, we have created the ultimate close-range “thumper.” It combines the tactical satisfaction of a pump-action shotgun with the precision of a PCP air rifle.
The “Heavy Impact” Experience
Why shoot .30 caliber at 16 Joules? It is all about momentum. Even at lower velocities, a heavy .30 caliber pellet carries significant mass. When it hits a reactive target—like a spinner, can, or knockdown target—it delivers a satisfying “smack” that smaller calibers simply cannot replicate. It is the perfect tool for fun, engaging backyard sessions where noise must be kept to a minimum.
Pump Action Reliability
The manual pump-action slide puts you in complete control. Unlike semi-autos which rely on specific air pressures to cycle, the PA30 cycles as fast as you can rack the slide, regardless of the power setting. This mechanical reliability makes it one of the most robust platforms in the BinTac lineup.
Efficiency & Silence
Because the rifle is sipping air to generate 16 Joules, the shot count per fill is incredibly high. Combined with the 22-inch barrel, which allows ample volume for the air to expand and depressurize before the pellet exits, this rifle is exceptionally quiet—often eliminating the need for an additional suppressor.
BinTac Tech Note:
Ballistics: Be aware that a .30 caliber pellet is heavy. At 16 Joules, the velocity will be low. This results in a pronounced “rainbow” trajectory. This rifle is intended for short-to-medium range use (up to 25-30 meters). Aiming adjustments (hold-over) will be required for longer distances.
Ammo Choice: We recommend using the lightest .30 caliber pellets available to maximize velocity and flatten the trajectory. Do not use heavy slugs in this 16J configuration.
